With the right assistive device, writing can be easy for someone with limited hand dexterity
There are many assistive devices on the market that can assist with writing. These range from simple grippers for only a few rands to weighted pens that are a couple hundred rand. We’ve compiled a list of the writing aids available.
Most of these products can be found on Takealot or Amazon as well as at Waltons. Temu also has some options available although the shipping for these might take some time. The costs listed below are only a rough estimate. It is recommended to do your own research to confirm the price.
Depending on your hand dexterity, you can also consider some at-home adjustments. For example, you can wrap your writing tool with duct tape to provide more grip, or even stick your pen through a tennis ball! There are some truly creative solutions.
