Feedspot, a database of niche blogs and podcasts, listed Rolling Inspiration in its top 15 disability magazines and publications with the South African magazine breaking into the top 10 at number eight. The list includes titles from across the globe.

“We feel honoured to be listed among the top disability publications,” says Mariska Morris, editor of Rolling Inspiration. “Our team works hard to write informative articles that empower and educate our readership.”

Owned and published by the QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA), Rolling Inspiration focuses much of its contents on people with mobility impairments, specifically quadriplegics and paraplegics.

“Anyone can suffer a spinal cord injury and suddenly find themselves with a disability. We’ve shared stories of readers who were injured in car accidents, while playing sports, and even because of crime,” Mariska says.

“Disability is not often discussed and poorly understood in broader society. Thus, when someone acquires a disability, it can be difficult to know what to expect. Through the publication, we hope to provide some guidance. Moreover, we love sharing success stories to remind all our readers what can be achieved with or without a disability.”

Mariska concludes: “We do know that there is room for improvement and encourage our readers to reach out with comments, suggestions or even story ideas.”
