The musical Thetha Mosadi written and directed by Bukelwa Cakata will be at the Playhouse Company, in Durban, from November 6 to 9. It follows the story of a young, married Nomathemba whose life changes after a car accident leaves her unable to walk. She faces the struggles with accessibility, gender-based violence and societal expectation to find her courage and reclaim her strength and voice.
The musical dives into the silence surrounding African women and the voice that performing arts can give the voiceless. QASA office administrator, Nelisiwe Sibiya plays the main character Nomathema.
Tickets can be purchased on Webtickets for R150.
