The 2025 World SCI Day theme is “Prevent Falls, Prevent Spinal Cord Injuries”. To commemorate, the Southern African Spinal Cord Association (SASCA) is calling on all South Africans – rehabilitation professionals, spinal cord injury units, students, artists, and passionate advocates – to submit a poster on the theme. The top three posters selected by the SASCA Committee will be submitted to the ISCOS Global SCI Day poster competition.
All entries should focus on fall prevention as a key strategy to reduce the incidence of spinal cord injuries. Participants are encouraged to “think local, think impact, think change”. The poster should be informative and relevant to the local context.
Submissions can be sent in high-resolution PDF or JPEG to info@sasca.org.za. Your name, contact details and a short blurb about the poster concept should be included in your submission.
The deadline for submissions is 15 July 2025.
