Die Weskus Krewe, an adaptive surfing team from Saldanha, along with the Extreme Abilities team are planning a tour along the coast to compete at the 2026 Para Surf National Championships from 18 to 19 April 2026.

On the way to the Championship, they plan to stop in Stillbaai, Port Elizabeth and then Durban. On the return journey, they plan to stay in Jeffrey’s Bay for three nights to host a free surf day and adaptive surf clinic on 23 April.

The team members are each aiming to raise R7 000 to help fund the trip, but with most on social welfare grants, it is a large amount for the surfers to raise.

So, Die Weskus Krewe and Extreme Abilities team are calling on their community, individuals and business, to assist with any size donation to help them raise their goal of R72 000.

Donations can be made on their official BackaBuddy campaign page: https://www.backabuddy.co.za/campaign/weskus-krewe-disabled-surf-team-going-to-durban
