Food on the table for vulnerable quadriplegics and paraplegics

The Quadriplegic and Paraplegic Charitable Trust of South Africa (QPCTSA) has launched its Food on the Table project, which aims to support vulnerable quadriplegics and paraplegics in South Africa. Through this programme, successful applicants will receive a grocery voucher via SMS, Whatsapp or e-mail to the value of R500.

Funding for the programme was made available by Pick n Pay and Global Choices in partnership with the QPCTSA, which is also supporting small businesses in this time. Read about their other programme here.

How to apply

Quadriplegics and paraplegics in South Africa can apply by sending the required information as a Whatsapp message to 073 853 9675. No calls will be accepted and there will be no response to the message. If an applicant is successful, they will receive a voucher.

In order to apply, send the following in a Whatsapp message to 073 853 9675:

  • Name;
  • Address;
  • ID number;
  • Race;
  • Gender;
  • Proof of disability;
  • A full-length photo of yourself;
  • SASSA card if you are dependent on a disability grant.

Photographs of the documentations such as SASSA card and proof of disability is acceptable as long as it is legible. All this information is required in order to be considered. There are only 200 vouchers available so apply today!
