On March 17, wheelchair users from across Gauteng gathered in Pretoria for the first Ball for All formal dance for wheelchair users, amputees and their friends and family. Guests heard from some inspirational wheelchair users, including Miss Wheelchair World First Princess Lebohang Monyatsi.

Some of the ROLLING INSPIRATION contributors and the QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) CEO Ari Seirlis were in attendance. Organiser Elmarie Bouwer says: “The feedback from the guests is overwhelmingly positive, and we are grateful that everyone enjoyed the evening to such an extent.”

“We are working towards making ‘Ball for All’ an annual event and are also considering establishing a Dance Federation for Differently Abled South Africans,” Elmarie says.
