The Hluhluwe-based safari lodge, Leopard Walk Lodge, is the first nature lodge in the area to be verified by IncluCare – a United Kingdom (UK)-based organisation verifying the accessibility and inclusivity of luxury hospitality.

Leopard Walk Lodge is a serene, family-run eco-safari lodge nestled in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal’s Elephant Coast. Known for its romantic “Secrets of the Forest” suites, rich wildlife encounters, and dedication to sustainability, the lodge offers an intimate and welcoming experience for all.

To receive the IncluCare verification, a rigorous four-step, expert-led evaluation, education and transformation programme needs to be completed successfully. Crucially, it requires hotels to make their accessible room inventory visible, bookable and confirmed at the point of booking, which removes a key barrier to access for countless potential guests.

“We’ve always believed that nature’s beauty should be experienced by everyone,” says Janet Cuthbertson, owner of Leopard Walk Lodge. “It’s been an incredibly meaningful journey working toward true inclusivity, and we’re honoured to welcome guests with varying needs to enjoy the tranquillity and wonder of the forest alongside us.”
