Sierra Leone rappers, 50 Don and Prophet released their song Ability. The single is part of the “I’m Just Like You” global campaign aimed at highlighting the talent of people with disabilities. Both 50 Don and Prophet are polio survivors and people with disabilities.

The song features grammy nominated artist Muzi who was part of the Jabali Afrika group nominated for the best children’s song category in 2022.

Rappers Swadu (Tasha) and Chad Harper (The BKLN Globetrotter) also feature on the Ability. The single was mixed and produced by Kunta Official Beats in partnership with Hip Hop Saves Lives, which was founded by Chad.

With head-bopping beats that have a distinct Afrocentric signature, Ability highlights the challenges people with disabilities face and calls for inclusivity. Hip Hop Saves Lives hopes to bag a Grammy with the single.

“We have submitted our song to the Grammys for Best Social Change Song,” says Chad. “We are seeking partnership as we create a global movement around this song and an ongoing album that features physically disabled vocals around the world.”
