Congratulations to the South African athletes who secured medals at the Paris 2023 Para Athletics World Championships. These athletes are guaranteed a spot in the 2024 Paralympic Games.
Simone Kruger won gold when she smashed the F38 Discus World Record with a remarkable throw of 38.1 metres. Mpumelelo Mhlongo secured gold when he won the T44 100 m race.
Louzanne Coetzee won silver in the Women’s 1 500 metre T11, and Kerwin Noemdo secured bronze in the Men’s Shot Put F46.
