On September 8, Rita Henn and Partners Inc Physical Rehabilitation Therapists held a one-kilometre fun walk to celebrate World Physiotherapy Day at the Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.
The hospital’s orthopaedic unit manager (also one of the physiotherapists), Arisha Seetharam, had this to say: “Our patients completed the race in wheelchairs or with mobility aids, accompanied by their physiotherapists. We had about 50 participants in total – including adults, children, wheelchair users and those walking with mobility aids. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and we are hoping to make it an annual event.”
