With the global coronavirus pandemic, many events were cancelled or postponed. Most notably, the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games were pushed into 2021. Locally, the South African lockdown resulted in the postponement of the SASAPD National Championship – an event that many South African para athletes use to improve their world standing and qualify for the Paralympic Games.

Fortunately, the 2021 Toyota SASAPD National Championship will be taking place from April 23 to 27 in Port Elizabeth, however, the event will look very different to previous years. To adhere to the government lockdown restrictions, there will be limitations regarding who can attend the event. For example, media won’t be welcomed.

However, you can still catch all the SASAPD National Championship news on Rolling Inspiration social media, website and newsletter.
