According to the Human Rights Commission of South Africa, eight out of every 10 persons with disabilities are unemployed. Down Syndrome South Africa and Shonaquip Social Enterprise are undertaking a national data collection project focused on the education and employment experiences of persons with disabilities.
It aims to better understand schooling history, post-school pathways, and the current employment status of adults with disabilities. The information collected will help strengthen advocacy efforts, inform policy engagement, support programme development and improve opportunities for people with disabilities, nationally.
This survey takes 15 minutes to complete and is for adults with disabilities (older than 18 years), family and community members who can share their experiences. Complete it in your chosen language:
